I could feel your fretting here, when Jack was probably taking it all much more calmly...not knowing all the pitfalls & possibilities. I never, never knew what my parents suffered *for* me growing up. It's an eye-opener, for sure. And makes me wonder what else my eyes will finally See as I delve further & further into life & parenting.

I LOVE the picture of your dad's hand on Jack's back, too. What a sweet Sunday you must have had. After the turmoil, of course. Your baby is definitely growing up!Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12695647322001645909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36899961.post-11727481173334764442008-05-28T08:52:00.000-04:002008-05-28T08:52:00.000-04:00I am seriously impressed with Jack. I cannot picture my 7 year old Luci as an acolyte yet but will be so proud one day when she is!Natashahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02125609989859318267noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36899961.post-80208720408332834072008-05-28T00:27:00.000-04:002008-05-28T00:27:00.000-04:00...consider the lilies! you're so funny lelly! wha......consider the lilies! you're so funny lelly!

what a great post and what a great sunday for you both! the best part about motherhood i think, is coming to that realization that even when they do make mistakes (although it sounds like he did just great!) is that they're small and cute and that is a great "excusable" combination!

go jack!wendehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12829776995542861944noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-36899961.post-3215427096814436712008-05-27T16:02:00.000-04:002008-05-27T16:02:00.000-04:00Ahhh . . . what a great moment. I loved this line, "and despite the fact that i often collapse into totally inappropriate giggles when they read "consider the lilies..." (thank YOU, monty python), i remained pious as jack tried in vain to hold the heavy Gospel steady."Neighbor Jane Paynehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11524394383695366513noreply@blogger.com
