spt

this is me. at 7:30 last night, having worked a 9 hour day, gone to an acolyte meeting, attended evening prayer, and run into the grocery (all while matty and jack were running around the soccer field.)

this is me, preparing dinner on a night when i really wanted to phone it in (literally.) i could've snapped a photo of the gorgeous stir-fry i *whipped up.* but this seemed to capture the moment a little more realistically, dirty kitchen floor and all!!

don't you just love the juxtaposition of the blue apron and my strappy heels? joan cleaver would be proud! preparing dinner for my family is truly a gift i can give, even when i don't feel like it!

and, while techinically not a self-portrait, take a look at this:

the GREATEST gift i have given my family lately... the gift of my undying patience and willingness to clean up puppy accidents!!!

Love the shoes! It's so great that your family has a mommy to cook dinner for them. It's such a thankless job. Good for you for doing it when you don't want to.

I can't remember the last time I cooked dinner with footwear on! Cooking dinner for your family is definitely a gift. One that I need to work on giving.

lovin those strappy sandels giving you much style while doing the "mom" thang! Great Gift Mama for your boys...and even greater gift, training a puppy for sure!

Well look at you June Cleaver. The first thing that happens when I walk in the door is to lose the shoes, and I usually am wearing flip flops!

Yeah, lucky family, you in those styling shoes. I wear slippers and sweats when I'm in the kitchen. And bless the puppy, because accidents and all, I think animals make a family complete.

I can't believe you did all that running around in those cute heels! You definitely deserve to put your feet up after all that gifting. Adorable dog!

You are a saint!

It's so easy not to cook dinner for your family when everyone is busy.

And to clean up after the newest member? Well done.

I'm excited about this month Lelly! I'm always excited to see what you come up with next.

Oh so many gifts were given but the best gift was the eye candy of your beautiful toes!!!

Well, I don't know if it is coincidence or some cosmic joke or a "gift" from the universe, but yesterday for some reason, I was thinking about what the next spt theme would be and the theme of "gifts" came to my mind. Yes, gifts! I didn't know if you had done it before, but I was really tripped out when I went to see what the topic was and you had posted gifts! Crazy huh? Anyway, love it and thank you for not retouching your kitchen floor.
