spt comfort food
finally, FINALLY, the weather here has turned colder. we had an outdoor showing of "the wizard of oz" last night, and i was under a blanket, with gloves, wearing my winter coat over my, yes, you guessed it... pumpkin sweatshirt.
the cooler climate has urged me to break out my crockpot for the season. i've also been baking, and creating big pots of soup and the other day i indulged in a caramel apple cider. yes, that's right. a caramel. apple. cider. it was hot and gooey, and, oh yes, i had the whipped cream on top.
what do you crave when it's cooler? what is your comfort food? what does it do for you? will you share the recipe (or at least, the name of the place where you get it?)
i will be on the run tuesday, so everyone gets an extra day to whip up a batch of comfort! come back on WEDNESDAY to check out what foods are soothing us this season.

I'm having a really hard time with fall this year. Still not cool enough to cover up. But I am totally into comfort food!
I love this idea... Hmmm but what to pick.. I have a lot of favorites.
I'm feeling cozy just thinking about it!

This may make me get my cooking brain thinking. HMMMMM. I will have to think of another thing besides my Chuy's comfort food. I think I have posted that enough already :)
I need a good excuse to start making some Fall dishes. The weather is just not cooperating here. So thanks!
This STP sounds fun. I must to get ready for it.
Check on my blog, there is a Halloween thing for you on it :)
Yum - I'd say chicken and dumplings!!
Thanks for the Halloween card - mine arrived in the mail today!
Where is Mr. Linky? Home made bread, that's mine
Hang on. Caramel apple cider?? That sounds like a little bit of heaven in a mug right there. Did you make it? If so, I think you need to share the recipe!
