3. the holiday eating fest, on top of a very lackidaisical past 6 months have left me really digging deep into my closet for stuff that still fits! what the?!? returning to the "no white foods" way of eating: no sugar! no potatoes! no rice! no white flour (or overly-processed *wheat* flour, for that matter)! have you ever locking myself in my office with a towel stuffed into the space at the bottom of the door!
4. scouts last night, at the fire & rescue department. with boys! and sirens! and diesel engines!!
5. I CANNOT WAIT FOR ONE WEEK FROM TODAY, WHEN I WILL BE WINGING MY WAY TO THE BIG EASY!!!

Hope your weekend is a little calmer (we start soccer tomorrow...followed in a couple months with T-ball...then my son starts Cub Scouts...gulp!).
Getting back to normal life this week has been an adjustment, but I think I finally got the hang of it today.
I want to hear about your upcoming trip, how it came about, and what your plans are.
I can't wait for a week from today either!
Kim and I were looking through a book tonight called Obituary Coctail and pointing out all the places we want to take you and Carlo by - hotels, restaurants, bars, etc.
that was my week, exactly! I was so glad the weekend got here so I could try to get things back under control again.
i am so with you on #3's holiday eating fest and the dreaded closet. ugh.
the healthy eating will resume but after jan 19, of course
i don't love jumping back into the swing so quickly. as you probably know by now.
sounds a bit like a baptism of fire! welcome back to the hustle and bustle...
Oh, your trip to NOLA will be all the better because of all this chaos!
I can so relate. I wish there were some way around that week. Just skip it. Hope you fared well and your trip will be relaxing.
