amouse-bouche

a few weeks ago, the girls headed over to crystal's house for Girls Night In!! it turned out to be one of the best nights in a long time (we will NOT talk about the fact that crystal is moving away this week.)

finger foods and board games made a great night in. if you haven't played Curses yet, i highly recommend that you schedule a game soon! your abs will seriously love this work out! i unearthed laughing muscles that haven't been used in forever!

of course, i love any event that involves food, especially appetizers/fingerfoods/h'or d'oevres... a little amouse-bouche! my two selections tied in well with Fall, and inadvertantly, trees (huh. no that i've written that out, it doesn't seem very appetizing...)

i brought natasha's "pine cone" cheese ball

and miniature cupcakes with caramel "acorns" on top.

i love trolling blogs for foodie ideas. any amouse-bouche you'd care to share?

Those carmel acorns are adorable. I'm going to check out that game.

Oh my gosh, I will NEVER forget that game of CURSES. hahaha! My intro for the board game was," I have a board game that is COMPLETELY ridiculos but that will have you cracking up laughing the entire time." AND SURE ENOUGH...we laughed, and laughed, and laughed. I'm giggling just thinking about it.

I don't want to move away from you Lelly. I love you too much. But remember that you now have a place to stay up by the Outer Banks when you need to escape this place. haha! (plus I may need your help at convincing the GM at that Hampton to hire me. haha)

Okay, I'm tearing up...so LOVE YOU! Love the post. I'd give you a food idea but I get all of mine from you. haha!

Those caramel acorn cupcake toppers are so clever. They might be my new favourite fall treat.

YUM! You replicated my pinecone nicely and I want to jump through the screen and eat those acorns!

natasha, i asked matty to make the pine cone for me since he had the day off. i think he did surprisingly well with my hastily texted out description and one photo from my trip to see you!

A girls' night in sounds perfect--especially with those treats.

My hubby, the anti-blog-man, just walked by the computer, saw your lovely cheese ball pic, did a double take and said, "That looks nice!"

That's a real compliment, coming from him.

(I think you food looks great and delish, too.)
