Most of you know, I live in Tiny Town. i live in a place that doesn't have a mall, that doesn't have a Chick-Fil-A, that doesn't have a Target. that doesn't have a Starbucks.
i live in Tiny Town by choice, and i don't regret the decision to move here... most of the time. i like the feeling of safety that comes when you know the local political officials and law enforcement agents. i like the feeling of community that develops when you decide to build a playground with your sister. i like that i can text the school principle when i need information.
but i don't like the lack of privacy. i don't like the backdrop that has become insanely dull. i don't like the small mindedness of many people that i work & play with.
and i really, REALLY don't like the lack of shopping opportunities.

With an elementary school of 1500 children, I cracked up at the texting the principal. That would be cool.
When I moved to Texas almost 10 years ago, one of my conditions was that our apartment had to be in close proximity to a Starbucks.
When we moved to Cape Cod everyone said there wasn't many shopping options....but after living there with you.... I feel like this is WONDERFUL. I'm sorry lady. At least Myrtle Beach outlets are only a lil more over an hour away.
I know that feeling all to well. I moved to a small town when I married the second time. I had already had 2 children and came in the middle of a school year. I like how I can walk into the local diner and they know what I want to drink before I sit down. But I hate feeling like I am outside the pack bc all the other moms have know each other for years and if the tiniest thing happens the whole town knows before you even make it home.
as the saying goes...I live in a small town, if I don't know what I'm doing, someone else will!
