it is a blustery day here!!
i've tried to blog something, anything, and for whatever reasons, i haven't managed to make anything stick!! lately, i feel like amuse-bouche has become "all about the spt," with not much in between.
i LOVE spt! i LOVE all of the responses, the thoughts, the friendships that are blooming each week. some have asked, and the answer is... YES! spt is very time consuming. but i truly LOVE spending time on it! i literally get swept away in the process, from the moment i wake up on tuesdays, until i've posted the next challenge several days later.
i also have been swept away by work lately, as we gear up for the tourist season. i am the general manager of a Hampton Inn in a coastal town. can you smell the sunscreen?
jack just wrapped up spring break, 10 days that were filled with many moments in which i was swept away with his casual 6-year-old cuteness. i've been making more of an effort to Play, and giving myself permission to chill out. yesterday was spent in pajamas until 3 pm, when it was time to get dolled up for a murder mystery dinner party (much more on that later.)
forgive me if i've swept past your blog without commenting lately! sometimes i feel like "hurricane lelly," blowing around the blogosphere!

Wow, GM of a Hampton Inn, you must be busy! I'm sure no one blames you for your lack of blogging. I'm impressed you can still make up the SPT challenges for us! Love them!
I love that word blustery. I can't imagine all you fit in with work and home and blogging. Your amazing!
I completely understand about blowing by and not having the time. I can't imagine how busy you must be.
You know I love SPT and am glad you started it. It's something I have always done, but now I feel it has even more purpose. Thanks for keeping my mind thinking.
As long as you keep blowing in goodness you can continue to sweep by!
WOW!!! you are one busy lady.
I don’t know how you are able to do everything :)
I so love your SPT! Thanks so much for coming up with those great ideas.
oh lelly. i think your dedication to home, work, blogging is amazing. thank you for taking time for spt...
Lelly, that is a lot of pressure to be under. Not to mention that it probably has hijacked your blog. I just deleted a really long-winded comment that made little sense. Basic gist...you...good.
Who knew? General Manager of a hotel in a costal town! WOW! I think that is so fun! - busy, fun! Can't wait to see what you spent your virtual money on tomorrow!
I'm always so impressed with you because you seem to be commenting on every single blog. SPT is a huge job and you're doing it so well, but I can definitely see how it could sweep you away. Don't fret if you need to lighten your load a bit, we all understand.
You are Superwoman!! How do you do it all?
So glad you got to just hang out with your son. I love those days!
Have a great week!
No hurt feelings here. Jill had a post about not having time a while back. I say if you have time great if not that's okay. It can get VERY overwhelming. You are so awesome for doing the SPT! Give yourself a break. Hey, playing with Jack is MUCH more important than blogging.
I'll gladly take Hurricane Lelly whenever she manages to sweep in. My uncles manages a Hampton Inn in Flagstaff...very busy, blustery. I loved your wording: "swept away with his casual 6-year-old cuteness."
'Hurricane Lelly' I love the Hampton Inn. We're going to do a road trip in the western U.S. this summer, and I plan on staying at the Hampton whenever possible. Now I know what your job is!
thanks for the ideas.
enjoy the kid time today and no need to feel guilty or something for not accomplishing everything you think you should in one day :)
i, too, like how you creatively worded the description of your boy. enjoy :)
You are a busy lady! We all love the SPT challenges and you always come-up with the best ideas. Sanity is more important and it's OK to take it easy, we understand. Hope you are doing well today! Thanks for all your hard work!
thanks for all you do with spt, it has been very stretching for me especially after last week. enjoy those pj's.
I am a friend of sista#2, she let me know about SPT, I need to try it. I like reading them all!!
My husband is the GM of a Homewood Suites in Fort Collins. Very stressful!
