spt
it's not surprising that my spt this week is work related(!) i am tempted to one day set up a video camera that will follow me around to capture all of the crazy things that go on in the background of a hotel.
yesterday afternoon, i arrived at work amidst a flurry of monday *stuff.* mondays are especially busy for us, and since i had the weekend off, there were a lot of things waiting for my attention. the phones were insane, there were no less than 12 notes taped to my door (all urgent, of course), and i was trying to prepare myself for the long evening ahead. at some point, my chief engineer showed up, talking about *something*, showing me *something.* as i often do when i'm busy, i smiled and nodded in recognition, then went on about my other tasks. (this is a bad habit of mine... i really have to work at focusing on someone or something important when my mind is already abuzz. it's not uncommon for me to nod in agreement to something, only to claim totaly ignorance a week later. oops!)
it wasn't until this morning, as i was still wondering what to spt, when it clicked. i remembered what he had brought to my attention.
seems another family has moved in!!
i'll tell ya, i am truly thankful that i have a staff that acts as the eyes in the back of my head. somedays, i wish i could bring them home with me!
what did you *see* this week?

Holy Crap! You know your alligator tales send me into a tizzy, I just can't believe they can be that close, yikes!
Great picture! I have no idea what I'm going to do for this SPT.
They are back again?! You are amazing, make it seem so normal. I would freaking out.
AHHH! Alligators...that's just crazy! I would hope no one would be feeding those creatures!
Oh man! I can not imagine taking care of this kind of stuff being in my job description. You're incredible. What a great SPT.
Man oh Man! I just can't even imagine living some place where you have to worry about alligators.. We have signs that say "Don't feed the Ducks!" Not don't feed the alligators." My girls would probably be talking to them & trying to convince them to be nice...
As a mom I often wish I had a staff working for me at home!
(see ya later alligator)
So crazy! Something that is so foreign to me! This was such a fun SPT!
alligators yeek!
I added mine, I used cell phone picture again.
I had no idea alligators live in NC. Scary business. I'm sure you have to post the sign for liability reasons, but does anyone REALLY think they can feed them??
Loved your SPT.
I think the alligators are kinda cool- I mean I don't get to see them here. Kids will talk about the alligator hotel they stayed at. Tourists and locals will soon say, "You know, the alligator hotel." It could turn into good publicity!
Yikes!! So I guess this rules out skinny dipping? Ha! Good luck with the new neighbors!
Alligators, have you seen them? I will admit that I think that it would be cool to see them in the "habitat," just not to close.
More alligators?? Oh, my. It seems you are living in the wrong neck of the woods. I would actually think this more of a Florida, Alabama, Louisiana thing. Not so!
Yeesh. Good luck with that! :)
YIKES! I think I'd be too grossed out to take the picture!
Were you scared to take the photo for fear they might have been sneaking up from behind?!
alisa - you can be sure i knew exactly where they were while i was over there. quickest 14 SPT photos i ever took!!
Really??? People FEED the alligators?!? What are they thinking? And how can you stand to be so close to them? That's crazy, Lelly!
No WAY!!
good one lelly! I have no idea, about this one, well, i might!~
I left you a little surprise on my blog. Go see....
this was a challenge for me that turned out more rewarding then I would have ever guessed- genuinely glad you are still around even after last weeks prank!
Oh my, I am glad they don't live here.
"i am tempted to one day set up a video camera that will follow me around to capture all of the crazy things that go on in the background of a hotel."
You just figured out how to strike it rich! Produce a reality show called "Hotel."
I am only half-joking. It'd be HILARIOUS. I know I'd watch.
Oh, my goodness! Resident alligators. That's exciting...and a little scary. Will they get to stay there?
