i will miss the unbridled enthusiasm that this man had for the political process. some of the best political reporting i have seen lately has been his spots on the Today Show. if ever a person could make the political primary season seem as exciting as a major league playoff season, it was him.

I was so sad to hear this. I just love him. Normally reporters seem to care only about their own careers but he truly seemed to like people and want to educate them on the political progress. It's not going to be the same election with him :(.

Hear, Hear. He brought class and dignity to politics.

I saw a headline on the internet, and thought I couldn't possibly have read that right. So sad. He seemed like such a happy person with such a passion for what he did, and so so intelligent. It seems beyond unfair that he won't be here for this election.

I loved him. He entertaining and fun, and so knowledgable. He always helped me to understand some of the more difficult parts of our political process. I will miss him.

This left me in complete shock! I couldn't believe the news! I love this man! I love his zest for life. I love his quirky smile. I love how much he loves his Dad and family and how that carries into his life and makes him who he is. I love watching him with the elections. He makes everything seem so simple. SO sad to pass so suddenly before Father's Day! The election will not be the same without his great insight!

i was totally shocked by the news. i remember watching his show with my parents when i was little. there are so few classy media people left, which makes it that much sadder that he's gone.

I was shocked when I saw the headlines opening up my email. It seems just wrong that he won't be around for the upcoming election.

You have to admire a man who makes people excited about politics.

My husband called me while we were on vacation {he came home a day early for a conference} and I didn't believe him. I don't generally care for many polical commentators, but he seemed so down to earth.

I love that I found your blog. I told my family about his death and they stared at me with 'deer in the headlights' looks as if to say they had no idea who I was talking about. He was the best!
