spt - feng shui summer

hello?? anyone there?

it's definitely that time of year when blogging becomes sort of secondary to all of the other stuff that goes on. there's just enough blogging going on to know that this summer finds people moving (jenny, lucy), vacationing (natasha, cristin), swimming (kristi, becky) and sweating (me, jill).

it may be extra challenging to fit in spt posts this summer, so let's go easy for the month of july. and? as an extra bonus, if you complete all FIVE july challenges, maybe you'll get a cool little button to put on your blog!! *

our routines can seem out-of-whack in the summer and it's more important than ever that we funnel our energy into the hearts of our families. not so easy to do when there are more snacks to prepare, more laundry to do, more trips to the store/movies/museums/gas station... we must strike a balance between pool time, library time, travel time and quiet time!!

to help channel our personal chi, let's take time this month to focus on the 5 elements of summer: sun, water, shade, grass and ice cream!!

these can be as easy or as challenging as you want them to be...just get out there and take some pictures!!
july 1 sun
july 8 water
july 15 shade
july 22 grass
july 29 ice cream
*edited to add: challenges do not have to be posted on tuesdays in order to qualify for the button. however... there must be 5 photos (one for each challenge). combinations of multiple elements in one photo will not count. fair enough??

I love this, Lelly! Do I ever need to find my own personal CHI this summer!

Oh this sounds fun -- and easy! Which is a good thing because suddenly summer has seemed to taken over any routine that we had!

"The elements of Summer" Brilliant!

And the best part is, there is no way I can get stuck for an idea.

Cool! I can't wait- and I WILL actually do them this time. June was freaky crazy for me and July is the same, but I missed not doing them weekly :(

This is going to be fun!

And I'm so glad you specified 5 photos to qualify, and not necessarily 5 photos of one's self. :)

Thanks for the clarification. :-) 5 photos will happen!

oh yea! You always come up with great ideas- I love how you get me to document my life in a way that I never would have thought of!

I'm amused and honored to be listed along with you as sweating this summer...ugh.

I am so sorry for totally missing out on all of June's SPTs. I am hoping to catch up at some point, but lack vision.

I'm excited by the simple topics you're giving us for July. I know great things will be done with them, but somehow the one word topic makes it seem more doable.

oh, i have things to say about the sun...but i'm going to focus on the *positive* nature of that glowing ball of lava.

i look forward to receiving my button. i say that with the confidence of someone who absolutely will be doing all five of her july spt's. nuff said.

now that I'm not feverishly thinking of all things moving...I hope to participate in SPT more. I don't know about all FIVE, but one is a good place to start, right? You're the best, Lelly.
