third grade.

there was a fog over southport this morning, and it sure made these photos look a bit more gloomy than we felt on this, the first day of third grade.

last night was filled with the excitement of a Christmas Eve. he could only sit still for 1/2 of The Butter Battle Book and 1/2 of one chapter of The Sorcerer's Stone (my son, who is living so easily between being a little boy and a big kid these days.)

jack says, "i've *always* wanted to be in the third grade!"

and here you are.

How adorable that he has always wanted to be in the third grade!

My daughter started 3rd grade last week and she absolutely fits your description of living easily between being a little girl and a big kid these days!

How did he get so big so fast?

He looks so tall!

Glad he got what he wanted--and I hope 3rd grade is all he hoped and more.

He looks dramatically older in those pictures to me.

I'm glad the first day was so exciting.

No pressure, but I was just wondering (hoping) if you might start up the SPT now the summer is over?

Love it! My little boy starts 3rd grade in 2 days--he's jazzed about it, too. :) Hopefully it will be a fantastic year for both of them.
