spt - easter 2007

i am officially in love with our easter photo!

(what you can't see is that it is approximately 45 degrees out, and i am frantically digging my toes into the ground and furiously leaning forward so as to avoid tumbling backwards into the pond, but, eh...)

what i loved most about easter 2007 was that i was able to relax. i daresay, i almost played! matty was home for the entire weekend, and managed to stay awake past 8 pm! jack was well behaved (mostly), and i committed to wrapping up chores on saturday so that we could truly have a peaceful sunday.

so, here is my little nuclear family knot, dressed in orange. we laughed, and read books, and decorated eggs with easter wraps (thanks, amanda!) and shared blueberry sour cream coffeecake(thanks, amy!) jack stayed awake on saturday night until the red sea parted (thanks, mr. de mille!)

i will always love this photo, as it will remind me of a peaceful weekend in time, a weekend when i remembered that i love these boys with all that i have.

What a beautiful photo. I love it! We did an orange family photo one year--it is one of my favorites too. You all look so great in orange. And I would never know it was that cold outside.

Thanks again for the fun challenge!

I am new to the challenges, thank you so much for making me realize something I never had. I did not realize that this one time is addicting to make you see yourself and your life in a way I never have before.

I love the orange and love the Easter picture

The orange family picture is beautiful!! I love it. The picture makes it look like spring and not as cold as it has been in the east as of late. Your challenges have been so fun to read. Thanks for the fun!

I feel relaxed just hearing about your weekend. It was a little crazy until Sunday for us -the girl's are still getting used to daddy being home.

Love the family photo!

You hide mild panic very well! I'd never have known you were frantically trying not to fall into the water there! Haha!

When I lived in Holland, orange was the national colour, so people wore it with great pride and it was always associated with special days. Therefore I love orange, and you all look really happy together. Glad you got to relax!

You are so lucky to even attempt being outside on Easter! We had a few inches of snow!!!!!!!

I think my spt is a bit different today....:) I have to agree with kristi brooke - I also had trouble following directions in school............

Fabulous photo! No bonnet required. Your family is all the frill you ever need. And, how to find 3 people who all look great in orange?? This would be disastrous in my family, but so so cute in yours!
