spt

most people who come to my house come to the front door.

i also have a doorbell at my back door. this is one of my favorite things about my house - it seems so welcoming to one and all. i dream of having neighbors who would actually ring my back doorbell.

however, if you want to find me lately, you're going to have to come through this door.

I would love a house with a nice back door and friends that popped in there all the time! At first I thought I would skip this SPT, but then I realized these little things actually tell a lot about you! Thanks!

I love that you have a doorbell on your back door. That is very cool. If I'm ever in NC I will ring it! Thanks for the challenge this week!

A doorbell at the back door, ingenious! What fun! This was a fun easy challenge...thanks!

How fun to have two doorbells (my kids would ring the back door one all day long!)! Thanks for this nice, simple challenge.

I like back door doorbells too. Our back one dings only once, while the front one is a "ding dong." Your house looks very inviting!

Love it!!! I have a doorbell on my back door too but it doesn;t work HA! HA!

Very smart to have a doorbell at the back!! Noe that was probably a woman's idea! I'm always rolling my eyes at the design flaws and "duh" things around my house thinking A MAN DESIGNED THIS!! Great idea for an SPT. Thanks, Lelly!

We had a doorbell on our back door growing up and it confused us more than anything!

I did have a friend that used a side entrance for friends and I always thought it was so cool.

When I was little my aunt always used to come over for lunch through the back door. It's a fun memory for me -- I love that you have a doorbell back there.

You can bet if I was headed to NC I would be most definitely be staying at that Hampton Inn!

My grandma has a back doorbell. My kids LOVE it. However it does drive the adults a little mad :)

She mainly put it in so she could tell the difference (the front one has a different ring)

It just feels welcoming to see all those front doors!

I had fun! Thanks Lelly. I need a doorbell on the back door, we sometimes don't hear it. This was very easy.

That is neat to have 2 doorbells. I have also always wanted to be good friends with our neighbors and have them just pop over...just not while we live on the South Side (bad part of town).

A back doorbell? How cool is that! (And Amber probably doesn't realize, I would've designed a doorbell in the back of ours!)

I've always heard that "back door friends are best." Blogging reminds me of this kind of friendship because it's often deeper than the "front door" image we usually portray.

I remember my first east coast visit. I was stunned at how open the neighborhoods are...we are absolutely fenced in here on the west coast. Not a possibility that someone would stumble upon your back door and hit the bell. I LOVE that your back door has a bell!

Ooh, I like your back door bell. That's so organized!

Really, I want one of those old-fashioned butler bell things, where you pull a big metal thing and it yanks a rope inside and dongs a bell somewhere. I think you get them in Hound of the Baskervilles type films!!

You are too cute in your hat! Most of the time, you go in through the garage or the back door (depending on the house) at my mom's house and it always felt so homey, so personal, to me. The front door was for the UPS guy, or salespeople. Friends & family never used the front door.

The corporate baseball cap is a nice touch. Wouldn't it be fun to walk up to your door one day.

Hey Lelly,

I love that you have a doorbell at your back door!!

We were making room reservations last night for our spur of the moment trip to St. Louis and guess where we will be staying??? I booked them at the Hampton Inn at Forest Park MO!! Wish you worked at that one...

Have a great Wed.

How nice to have double doorbells.

Isn't it funny how close friends just know to use the back door? Love that!

Sad you have to see so much of your work door lately.

I have a front and back doorbell too and I love it when my back one gets used- mostly by Mya's little friends. It is just great.

Thanks for the no brainer- it was a good one!!! How do you do it? You are a clever gal!

Now if you could just do this SPT for my entire house so I could have documentation that would be great. ;)

Ingenious idea to have a back doorbell. I need one so we wouldn't have to yell at each other to be let in when our hands are full.

It really is a great idea. Can't wait to participate in more. And the doorbell at the back is great, we had one growing up, it drove my mom nuts!
