what's for dinner?

so, i've been thinking that we should be using a crock pot in our house. the thing is, i've never really cooked in a crock pot before. i typically have used it for keeping hot dips hot.

i'm sort of at a loss for recipes, and i'm finding i don't have a ton of time to traverse the www looking for them. and? if it comes with a recommendation of total yumminess, i'm much more likely to try it.

do you have any favorite crock pot recipes you'd like to share??

Saw your comments on another blog & decided to stop by. First, I Love your blog's name. Very clever & cute. I do have quite a few crock pot favorites. E-mail me at amhend@hotmail.com & I'll give you my best(s!).

One that is always useful & easy is Crock pot tacos. You put 3 chicken breasts (can be frozen), a jar of salsa, a can of black beans, and a can of corn in the crockpot. Cook 6-7 hours. Shred the chicken when it's tender. I usually add some cumin & splurge at times with cream cheese during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Serve in tortillas or just in a bowl. Top with sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes, guacomole...whatever you like.

I've had great success with a number of these recipes. I LOVE my crock pot. It is such a good feeling to have dinner done at 10 a.m.!
