i feel certain we can find a swedish penpal, and i'm thinking that this is a much safer option than letting my seven year old (and his blog) loose on the world wide web. so i am turning to you, blogosphere, to help me out here. anyone have family or friends over in the Great Kingdom of Sweden? i'd be thrilled if you could "introduce" us. send me an email if you might be able to help out!

hmmm...nope, no swede's unfortunately. i DO have an irish relation who lives in ireland half the year, and an american relation living in china. i'll ask around my well traveled friends and see if anyone knows a family in sweden. what an interesting choice! any special reason he's stuck on sweden?
No, I don't know anyone with children in Sweden - only an old couple and a bachelor!

Hmmm... I have an old high school friend who was an exchange student, and she's from Norway, which comparatively speaking, is practically next door. Let me ask her if she knows any 7ish swedes that might be up for penpalling... and I also have an old family friend whose wife is from sweden. She may have relatives who have 7 year olds in Sweden, so let me ask. It may be a wait, though.
My friend & her family just moved to Switzerland. I bet her 8 yr old would love to talk to your son via blog... I'll tell her & have her comment on your blog.. I don't know her email off the top of my head & her blog is private..

This is too funny! Just tonight at dinner Lucas informed me he wanted to start a blog. I informed him that 8 is too young to have a blog. He won't let it die -- now he's trying to pin me down on letting him do it when he's 10. I told him we'll wait and see when he's 10!
