spt

because of a blogger...

i have always thought of myself as a creative person. however, that creativity has been supercharged by the wealth of goodness in the blogosphere. not a day goes by that i don't stumble upon, drool over or otherwise permanently bookmark an idea from another blog. what in the world did we ever do without the collective creativity of the universe right at our very fingertips?!?

here is just a sample of the wonderful ideas i've been able to reproduce on my own. these ornaments were ridiculously easy to make, and look fantastic on a tree, tied to a giftbox, or even resting on the tabletop in a tumbled collection. thank you to jill for providing the inspiration and easy-to-follow directions!!

and now that i've been thinking about these little blocks again, how much do i want to go back and try amy's whimsical project??

(just how many blue shirts can a girl wear? i've been thinking about this ever since i changed my banner collage last week...)

I'm amazed at how much talent and creativity is out there...and it's great for me because I'm not creative in the least.

I love the Trick or Treat blocks. I did something similar but spelled out SPOOKY.

I'll have to check out Jill's craft next!

I love the blocks but found that I like to have something replace a letter to add a little something... Don't you think!

supercharged is exactly the right word. blogs are the best.

I love how many people have great ideas out there and are willing to share. Love the picture blocks and the Halloween blocks. I have blocks that spell the different seasons and I love them. They are bought instead of made, but I often think of making my own :)

I love your trick or treat blocks. Very cute.
I had to ban myself from buying any more green or burgundy clothes for awhile! It is crazy how many you can buy without realizing it!

This is so fun to see! I am still racking my brain for my own post today and am realizing that I'm not very good about turning inspiration into action.

I like your new blog header collage! (Never too much blue. never.)

Funny thing, I made those same blocks last Christmas at a party . . . inspired by the same blog post from Jill, though I didn't have a clue who Jill was at the time. AND, I didn't have a clue what a "blog" was at the time. My how things change in the short course of a year.

So, the moral of this comment is, "It's a small blog-o-sphere after all!"

Okay, on 2nd thought, maybe "my" blocks were inspired by Becky Higgins' blog? It's all a bit of a blur since I wasn't a blogger then . . .

At any rate, I have the same cute blocks and I love them!

This week's theme is remind me of all the things I still plan on doing! I'm trying to think of something I've done so I can post about it. There's certainly no lack of inspiration! I love the block ornaments.
