deck the halls

one of my late night projects this year was to take this

and turn it into this

it might be my favorite decor this year! i keep meaning to photo-journal my Christmas decorations. this is only our second year in this house, so we're still tweaking what we like and what we don't like. if i DO end up taking some good photos, i'm tempted to go over here and add it to the holiday house tour. what a cool idea! i'll never have time to go through all of those links, but i'll bet there's some great inspration to be found!

LELLY!! I love it!! The ribbon across your window is perfect and then the retro lights...well, my jaw is on the floor. I may just have to steal this idea (next year of course)! Are those large bulbs, or ornaments, are they vintage or can they still be found? Can you help me in my thievery? :)

oh is that adorable! just too cute. i LOVE the bulb ornaments and i have seen them at Target and also Macy's. NOW i know what to do with them. Oh so creative, Miss Lelly.

WOnderful use of your "winnings" and a well spent $.66 I would say!

Ah, clever! I like it!

It's a pain when you have decorations that you bought for a previous home, and you're not quite sure how to recreate it in another home. We're the same. My husband said just that yesterday - that we've not really achieved the same 'look' we had in our last house, because this one still isn't decorated properly.

I daren't click that link, but I so want to. Will it give me late-night tinsel anxiety??

oh my. Miss Lelly must be so swamped with holiday goodness that she hasn't had time to update.(hopefully not work issues on top of it)

Are you traveling? Having too much fun? Baking up a storm? Enjoying some time off (fingers crossed for this one wish for you!)

Can't wait to hear all about it.

MERRY MERRY CHRISTMAS to you and your grand fam.
