mmmmmm.
so, after a walk through the neighborhood to deliver chex mix to a friend, we set about making latkes. chef jack mixed the flour and egg, while chef mommie grated the onion and potatoes. thank goodness for our Kitchen Aid food processor! as i was squeezing handful after handful of potatoes, i couldn't help but think of the generations of women before me who did this by hand!

the last of the batch were by far the crispiest, as the oil was HOT and the pan was seasoned. matty and i loved them, jack stated they weren't as good as the ones they made at school (thanks, jack), but he cleaned his plate.

Happy Hanukkah!
