spt

last year, i invited my family to send me lists of their very favorite holiday memories.

this year, i hope to figure out what i want to do with them.

next year, i might have a finished project!!

i did start reviewing our Advent activities from last year, and spent a few moments planning this year's projects (of special note, i am so glad a made a blog note to myself that maybe it's a good idea to wrap up our activities the week prior to Christmas, before we all succumb to exhaustion!)

this past weekend, i remembered to buy one of those extension cord foot switches for the Christmas tree, to prevent having to crawl under the tree every night!

did you remember to do some pre-holiday planning?

I'm first? Wow! Ok, I have never heard of the foot switch thing for the tree but should've invented it myself! I will be to Target today to pick one up! Plus, I LOVE the idea of the family lists of memories, I bet their memories help jog yours. That's next on my list. Good for you and thanks for the inspiration!

We have the cord foot switches. It is the best.

I love the favorite holiday memories idea :)

Yeah for the holiday season! That foot switch sounds fabulous :) I also really like your idea with the favorite holiday memories--that would make a great album.

Getting the details like extension cords taken care of ahead of time makes such a big difference in December!

Ok Christmas prep early is cool and all, but LELLY! You look FANTASTIC in that photo. Your hair looks super cute, it looks straighter and more razory cut than it usually does. (Not that regularly does is anything to sneeze at, you just look especially fabby there.) And your face looks very youthful. Did I miss a makeover post? And if this is how you look running around on Saturday errands, whooo weee! HOT!

I love the extension chord food switch. I have never seen such a thing, and it will definitely make my holiday merrier. My picture is coming later today when/if I finally get showered!

I can hardly believe how quickly time is flying! Thanks for the reminder to get on the ball now, so when Christmas comes, it can be enjoyed!

You look really beautiful in that SP!

I'm assuming anyone can do this. I always see them on Hannah's blog and thought they would be alot of fun. Hope she doesn't mind I'm stealing another idea from her.
Thanks!

Dear oh dear, I can't believe you've been crawling under the tree all this time to switch the lights off.

Don't you have that tradition over there? You have a little chimney-sweep boy call at your door each evening, you give him a silver coin and he crawls under and switches them off for you. Then when he leaves you have to throw a mince pie at his back for good luck. Don't you do that?

Neither do we.
I made it up.
Har har.
