spt

when i'm feeling like this...

even when i just want to sleep;
even when i just want to bitch and moan at everyone;
even when i just want to stare at mindless television;
even when i want to eat a box of thin mints;
even when i want to do a little more bitching and moaning...

i know i've just gotta put my sneakers on,

and get outside!!

Great challenge. Once again I love that these get me to record something that I would not have normally thought to document. Can't wait to see yours!

awesome spt. i am glad your runs/walking help to pick you up.

That does always seem to work even though it is so hard to get out that door sometimes.

Doing your SPT challenges are always a pick-me-up! Hope you had a nice walk!

Lelly, you do come up with the best SPT's. Thank you.

You're right...a walk/run is a great pick-me-up.

You know they actually proved that women need outside time to feel happy. I get cabin fever a lot, too and then I know I just need to get outside wether it's cold or not. That's why I have to live in a warm state when we retire. I don't really enjoy cold!

I am enjoying documenting the side of my life I otherwise would leave out.
Thanks!

I agree time outside whether strolling or running is a fantastic pick me up. I guess it's those endorphins paired with the brain break and some me time.

Thanks for the SPT question. I have been thinking about this topic a lot because I had one of "those" weeks last week. I did all of my pick me ups and still couldn't shake my bad mood. Finally I went to bed and woke up happier the next day.

Hum, maybe I should try that. Some sunshine would do me good :-)

They say just walking outside does wonders for the soul. Hope it helped you :)

AMEN! I didn't get out of the house for two days and it jsut wore me down! I am SOOOOO ready for Spring!!! Thank you for doing SPTs every week!

I'm impressed if you actually make yourself get out there with your sneakers on. I know that exercising is a definite pick-me-up for me, but it's usually as a preventative measure rather than a remedy because I'm usually too far gone by that point.

You go girl, getting out the door, with sneakers on is a great way to pick yourself up!

Way to go! I know getting outside makes me feel better but I don't always make myself do it.

Good for you! I look forward to doing this SPT every week and seeing what so many other women say/do. It's another pick me up for me!

That is something I have not done enough of lately! What a great rejuvenating SPT - especially to be inspired by all the different takes on it.

Nothing like some good fresh air. But so often, just getting up the motivation to put on the stinkin' tennis shoes is so hard! I wish I could bottle the euphoria of a good brisk walk. I'd probably be better and getting out there and doing it!

Exercise.... that's a good plan. (not one I use enough though)

Good thinking! I found it really hard to narrow this one down, so many possibilities...

Getting outdoors is definately a great pick me up...it's just been so dang cold!

I haven't posted yet, but mine will be similar!

I think spring is a pick-me-up cure-all for winter and I think part of that is you don't feel like you're in a cave hibernating, but you do get to get outside and do things.

I wish I had the determination to get outside and get active whenever I need a pick me up. My excuse will be that the gym is not always open when I'm down, and it's coooold outside!

I love that you are getting out there despite the snow on the ground. I do love the boost the outdoors brings.

so fun, i hope you remembered to put on your other running shoe!!!

I'm absolutely NOT a running person, so with each of your images I was mouthing: no...no! Haha! Where's the after picture with big rosy cheeks?? ;-P
