faire thee well

a few weeks ago, i had the pleasure of chaperoning jack's field trip to the Renaissance Festival near Charlotte. jack goes to a montessori school, where he is a "first year" in the "lower elementary" class (grades 1 - 3.) there are seven first year students, and he has been with these kids since they all started the montessori program at three years old.

the lower el and the upper el (grades 4 - 8)all went on this field trip, so the result was about 30 kids with multiple chaperones. the kids and teachers all dressed up in costume, and it was obvious they had spent a lot of time studying the Renaissance before they went. i'm so lucky to have a great boss (me!) and i could take the day to travel back in time with them.

the lovely signs that awaited us.

knights in shining armor.

my favorite "authentic sign."

jack and his sweetheart.

and since it was a tuesday, i had to "spt" it!
