spt

since i feel like i rarely treat myself with *things,* this was an interesting challenge for me.

i have been having a lot of fun with paper crafts lately, and this banner was put together one evening not so long ago. it hangs over our entertainment niche, and makes me smile every time i see it.

i picked this up many weeks ago - sort of an impulse buy at the gift store. it's made out of window screen, and i LOVE it. i had seen a jack-o-lantern similar to this back in the fall, and i have become a little obsessed with trying to recreate the look. i am a sucker for pretty little things to hang on doorknobs.

i actually have splurged and ordered myself a piece of jewelry, and i have to say it feels very good to treat myself to something special. unfortunately, i don't have it to share for this spt, but let me just say, i can't wait to open it.

were you able to treat yourself with a special valentine?

Lelly, I usually just do spt if I see someone else's that strikes a chord.... but this week I actually came to see the assignment. I have been a bit out of the blog world so I linked so a few would know I posted. I hope that is ok (I know it is kind of a pain that not everyone can get to it.) PS - I come through Jill...

I enjoyed seeing your cute gifts to yourself.... a good plan really. I don't know why I haven't thought of it before, I am not opposed to giving myself birthday or Christmas gifts so why not Valentines too?

I love your heart banner--it would be impossible not to smile when you see that each day--the patterns and colors are so happy.

Glad you treated yourself to a few gifts. The wire heart is FUN. Can't wait to see your necklace too.

You look so pretty peeking out from behind the polka-dotted heart.

You do look very pretty peeking out from the hearts. I love the heart banner...did you just choose different papers & cut it out yourself...but the hearts look too perfect. Hm. Can't wait to see the necklace!

Apparently I don't have enough real stuff to do, but I was looking at the comments on Jill's valentine's day post from last year and you wrote "we eschew the commercialization"...it made me smile huge because that's the word of the week! You rock!

Cute banner of hearts. I love the papers you chose. I have not had time to paper craft lately, but tomorrow I will. Maybe I will steal your idea;)

Your heart banner is so cute. I'm such a Shmalentine's chump this year and haven't even gotten out any of our decoration (we have about 5).

I think treating yourself to one of Lisa's necklaces is a great gift to give yourself!

Oh, I have a spot I think that banner would look adorable in, maybe I'll go pull out my scrapbook paper and attempt to make my own...so cute! Thanks for the SPT, I love that jewelry too, and I'm usually not a jewelry person.
